- July 2004SAC Capital, formerly Sirius Asia Capital, founded by Dr John Chen and Mr Ong Hwee Li in February 2004, obtained its Capital Markets Services licence for Advising on Corporate Finance.
Leadership

Chief Executive Officer
Mr Ong has been involved in IPO, M&A and advisory transactions on the SGX for both Singapore and foreign companies. He is also active in fund raising and investments for private and listed companies. Prior to co-founding SAC Capital in July 2004, he worked in the investment banking departments of various local and foreign financial institutions.
As CEO, Mr Ong sets the tone and vision for SAC Capital and has been instrumental in formulating the strategies and business goals for the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) from Monash University.

Chief Operating Officer · Head, Capital Markets Group
Mr Tan is the COO and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm. He also heads the Capital Markets Group and oversees Corporate Finance, ECM and Corporate Restructuring. He has more than 10 years of experience and has played a key role in a variety of capital markets transactions, including IPOs, take-overs, privatisations, corporate advisory and ECM transactions.
Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) from Nanyang Technological University.
Senior Partner · Head, M&A
Mr Lim started his career as an auditor with a big four accounting firm in 1997. Since 1999 he has worked in the corporate finance departments of various local and foreign financial institutions, joining SAC Capital in 2007. He oversees business functions and leads the M&A team, digital transformation and corporate development initiatives. His experience includes IPOs, take-overs, privatisations and corporate advisory transactions.
Mr Lim holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University.
Board of directors

Chairman
Dr Chen sits on the board of several companies listed on the Singapore Exchange. From 1991 to 1997 he served as Assistant Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress and as Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of NTUC Healthcare Co-op. He was a Member of Parliament from September 1988 to April 2006 and served as Minister of State for Communications, for Communications & Information Technology, and for National Development.
Dr Chen holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
Director
Dr Leong is the Chairman of SPH REIT and CapitalCorp Partners, a corporate finance advisory firm, and Singapore’s non-resident High Commissioner to Cyprus. From 1994 to 2008 he was an executive director of Far East Organization, CEO of Orchard Parade Holdings and CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng. He was a Member of Parliament for 22 years from 1984 to 2006.
Dr Leong holds Bachelor degrees in Production Engineering, Economics and Chinese, an MBA from INSEAD, and a Master of Business Research and Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.

Director · General Manager, Global Business Division, Resona Bank
Mr Konno has 25 years of experience in banking, including at Resona Bank’s Tokyo Banking Department. As General Manager of the Global Business Division he is responsible for all of Resona Bank’s international banking business: foreign exchange, cross-border loans, foreign currency deposits, overseas subsidiaries and offices, and cross-border settlement.
He is focused on strengthening the business relationship between Resona Bank and SAC Capital to support customers in Japan and Southeast Asia.
